We call our event at Hotel Andaluz last week a wild success.  So many of you came, we saw a lot of new faces, and you all voted for the logo design you thought best represented Women in Design New Mexico.  It was a close vote, but Amanda Robinson's design was the winner!  Let us thank everyone who participated in the logo design contest one last time - you guys rock!  And congratulations to Amanda once again, the logo design is amazing.

Mark your Calendarsfor 6/27

Women in Design NM is getting organized.  Slowly, but surely.  Next Thursday, June 27th at Hotel Andaluz in Downtown Albuquerque, Women in Design NM will be hosting a networking event from 5:30-8:00pm, where we will have the three finalists for our logo design competition (see more info in the previous entry!) on display.  We need YOU there to vote on your favorite!  We are going places, help us decide which direction we are going.  We will have tons of yummy appetizers on hand to fuel your decision-making, and of course Hotel Andaluz has an impressive bar selection.  The winning designer and logo will be announced near the end of the event - come toast your future in WiDNM!

Speed Networking This Thursday

Hi everyone!  Sorry for the late posting on the blog, but our next event is THIS THURSDAY!  If you haven't received the Evite and are interested in attending, please email us at:  widinnm@gmail.com and let us know.  If you have received the Evite and haven't RSVP'd yet, please do!  This will be a speed networking event intended to allow everyone to meet more people, and have ample opportunities to provide feedback for what Women in Design - New Mexico can do for you.  It will be held at Cosmos Tapas on Central in Nob Hill, and starts at 6pm.  We are collecting $5 at the door to cover the cost of food, and there will be a cash bar.  Hope to see you there!

Women in Design: NM Kickoff

Women in Design: New Mexico is a new group being formed by female architects, engineers, contractors, interior designers, landscape architects, etc. to support and celebrate the contributions of women in the design and construction industry. We held a small brainstorming meeting on 11/6 and are forming a mailing list and planning our first networking event.
